Jealousy

Jealousy inebriates, and nothing, not even pure whisky, inebriates as quickly as jealousy.

Whenever you feel jealousy be careful: a little bit certainly doesn’t hurt and is even good to the relationship, a little makes you sticky, a lot makes you unbearable and too much makes you a drunkard, a nutcase.

The jealous person is an alcoholic because he has no control over his own senses, he sees two when it’s one, he is a hopeless case, a sad and miserable show for those who watch and a complete disgrace to the loved one.

A little bit of jealousy is recommended, not only because it is a way of showing affection but also because it is a healthy way of policing, a way to get the respect we deserve. Now exaggerated jealousy is a problem, a disease. It’s not your partner’s problem, it is yours.

Exaggerated jealousy is possessive, but the truth is that we cannot own anyone but ourselves. This doesn’t mean that it is easy to let the person we love walk around without exercising some form of control.

Not suffocate the person we love with jealousy is not a favor we are doing to this person, but to ourselves.

Jealousy enrages us, martyrs us, intoxicates us, destroys us. Jealousy crushes us completely.

Remember, there is no shame in being betrayed and cheated, the shame belongs only to the one who betrays and cheats. We can never control other people’s actions, of the person we love, of the unknown person around the corner, and when these actions provoke in us an exaggerated jealousy, we are the only ones left harmed.

Don’t ever give yourself to jealousy and it all starts by being able to admit.
